Introduction to Game Programming





Students learn the basic concepts of programming by creating an iterative project that incorporates logic, functions, loops, and different types of data.

As a result of successfully completing this course, students...

Will be able to:

  • Use industry terminology to discuss programming issues
  • Identify key elements in how computers and software store and manipulate data
  • Identify core mechanics that are common across all programming languages
  • Write and debug simple programs to demonstrate core programming concepts

Will display the following attitudes/professional behaviors:

  • Meet assigned deadlines
  • Accept and apply critiques
  • Analyze and discuss work using industry specific terminology
  • Prepare for and contribute to class discussions and critiques
