Introduction to Visual Design





This course introduces students to the fundamentals of digital conceptualization, design and implementation for interactive media. Using Adobe Creative Cloud, students will learn the basics of digital drawing and imaging while creating compositions for interactive media. Students will be given a cursory introduction to the fundamentals of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. This includes principles surrounding wireframe development, and interface prototype creation. Prior computer experience is recommended.

As a result of successfully completing this course, students...

Will be able to:

  • Create vector artwork
  • Implement an interactive digital prototype wireframe
  • Document and discuss conceptual and technical techniques
  • Participate in meaningful peer critiques and discussions
