Sketching for Game Art 2





Prerequisite: to take this class, students must have successfully completed AE GAM30, Sketching for Game Art.

This course builds upon what was learned in Sketching for Game Art and teaches students the fundamentals of designing fun and unique characters in a variety of styles.


Course Syllabus

As a result of successfully completing this course, students...

Will be able to:

  • Use a variety of styles to design characters
  • Draw realistic designs in simple and cartoony ways
  • Draw convincing Heroes and Villains
  • Create characters using the same process that is used in top game and animation studios

Will display the following attitudes/professional behaviors:

  • Meet assigned deadlines
  • Accept and apply critiques
  • Analyze and discuss work using industry specific terminology
  • Prepare for and contribute to class discussions and critiques
